Description JOB SUMMARY The Quality Control (QC) Technician ensures that products meet company and industry quality standards through testing, inspection, and documentation. They are responsible for maintaining product quality by conducting visual and physical inspections, maintaining testing equipment, and identifying and reporting non-conformances. The QC Technician supports continuous improvement initiatives and ensures compliance with safety and quality policies. This role is vital to ensuring that production output meets or exceeds customer expectations. 10 hour shifts. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform routine inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods to ensure compliance with specifications. Record and analyze test results and report any deviations or non-conformances. Conduct visual and dimensional inspections using calibrated measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, tape measures). Maintain accurate and organized quality documentation, including inspection logs, test reports, and certifications. Collaborate with production teams to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions. Calibrate and maintain testing and measuring equipment according to company standards. Support root cause analysis and problem-solving for quality-related issues. Monitor and ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental policies. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and projects as assigned. Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a safe working environment Requirements REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, part numbers, and specifications. • Strong understanding of quality control principles and inspection methods. • Skilled in using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures. • Familiarity with statistical quality control and sampling methods. • Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel). • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Excellent communication and judgment skills. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. • High School diploma or equivalent preferred. • Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards is a plus. • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE • Must be legally entitled to work in the US. • High School diploma or GED. • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or quality control environment. • Experience with testing equipment and procedures required. • Quality certification (e.g., CQI, Six Sigma, or equivalent) is a plus. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
