We are currently interviewing QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIANS for a rewarding opportunity with an excellent company in the Etobicoke, ON area. This will be a temp to perm position.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 2 years of post-secondary education.
• At least 3 years of experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) is preferred.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Ability to effectively read, write, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Capable of completing routine reports and written correspondence.
• Proficient in computer use; must be able to use an ERP system to input data and generate reports

• Perform physical testing on products and compare results to manufacturing specifications, issue reports of findings.
• Make recommendations for process improvements based on testing results and product specifications.
• Write and edit Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed.
• Conduct testing of competitive products and document results.
• Inspect product appearance, packaging, and labeling to ensure compliance with FM and UL requirements.
• Operate laboratory equipment, coordinate equipment calibrations, and maintain calibration records.
• Order and manage quality control supplies.
• Participate in plant programs, including safety, housekeeping, and recycling initiatives.
• Inspect incoming raw materials, report quality issues, and lead quality investigations.
• Perform product inspections in accordance with UL, FM, ICC-ES, and PIMA standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
