Quality Control Technician GEA

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A graduate from college or university with a 2 year degree (Associate Degree) in Engineering Technology (or equivalent) is preferred
  • CCIL or ACI Certification is an asset
  • Must have proven ability to be self-motivated and be able to work with limited supervision
  • Must have ability to acquire skills to perform job description
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid Alberta driver’s license
  • Must be able to work at varying start times which will include nights and weekends
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Must have good organization and planning skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Must be a team player with a positive attitude
  • Must project professionalism with both customers and co-workers

Responsibilities
  • Perform quality control functions including testing of plastic and hardened concrete and testing of aggregates
  • Field testing of concrete
  • Controlling concrete quality at the plant and in the field
  • Maintain and perform detailed records
  • Maintain records of testing documentation
  • Provide technical support to production staff
  • Advise production staff if testing shows any deficiencies and develop action plans as required
  • Test and verify production concrete product as batched or on site.
  • Perform all necessary tasks related to testing and quality assurance.

Maintenance

  • Complete recommended routine maintenance and calibrations on the lab equipment
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining all equipment maintenance and calibration records
