Description
The Quality Control Technician provides support to the Quality Department through collecting and analyzing samples, and performing and documenting facility checks. The Quality Manager/ Quality Lab Manager and/or QC Tech II assumes responsibilities in the absence of the QC Tech. The QC Technician is responsible for collecting product samples, sending samples out for testing or tocustomers, and performing in house analysis •Maintaining and organizing samples and incoming material paperwork •Perform sanitation inspections on equipment •Perform calibration checks on equipment •Communicate with other departments on quality related concerns •Practice and adhere to the established standard operating procedures and policies •Adhere to regulations on food safety, food quality, and good manufacturing practices •Perform specification checks on in process and incoming materials, and record data •Product development •Perform environmental monitoring swabbing •Ability to inspect and perform documentation on returned product •Identify and report food safety and quality issues (non conformances/out of specification product) •Work with management to maintain food safety and food quality, and communicate any related concerns •Complete paperwork and sampling in a timely manner •Perform documentation and filing as required •Ensure required documentation is filled out clearly and accurately, following good documentationpractices •Review test results and assist with generating certificate of analysis on released batches •Assist with recording and tracking test result data •Maintain a clean and organized work area •Dress out in company supplied PPE as required in designated areas •Perform other duties as needed •Experience working in a food manufacturing facility or experience in quality preferred •Perform basic math functions: add, subtract, multiply, divide, percentages, fractions •Computer literate using Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook •Work in a fast paced team environment •Pass pre-employment screening (reference check) * Health Insurance 65% Covered by employer for employee only * Dental/Vision *Accident/Cancer/Life * 401(k) after 6 months with a 4% match by employer
