WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT WORKING IN THE QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN I POSITION The Quality Control Technician I plays a critical role in ensuring that modular units and protective structures meet the required quality standards and regulatory compliance requirements throughout the manufacturing process. Under the guidance of senior quality personnel, the Quality Control Technician I, will assist in conducting inspections, monitoring manufacturing processes, and maintaining detailed documentation to ensure consistent product quality. The primary responsibility of the Quality Control Technician I is to inspect raw materials, in-process components, and finished structures against established specifications and report any non-conformities or defects. In this role, the Quality Control Technician I will also participate in routine audits of the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with both internal quality management systems (QMS) and external regulatory requirements. RESPONSIBILITIES * Conducts basic quality inspections on raw materials, in-process components, and finished modular units using standard measurement tools. * Verifies compliance with specifications, tolerances, and quality standards throughout the production process. * Records inspection data and document non-conformities, reporting findings to senior quality personnel for further investigation. * Assists in the implementation of corrective actions to resolve identified quality issues and minimize defects. * Collaborates with production teams to monitor and ensure the consistency of modular units and protective structure quality. * Participates in audits of the manufacturing process and assists with maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and internal quality procedures. * Assists with maintaining and calibrating quality control equipment, ensuring tools are accurate and ready for use. * Maintains organized, accurate records of inspections, audits, and test results for future reference and reporting. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * 2+ years of experience working in a manufacturing or construction environment. * Ability to read and understand blueprints (drawings) and specifications. * Proficiency in using measurement tools (e.g., tape measures, calipers, micrometers) and inspection equipment and ability to perform basic calculations related to measurements, tolerances, and material specifications. * Basic computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new software systems. * Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. * Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * 2+ years of experience as an inspector in either manufacturing or construction industries. * Familiarity with general quality control concepts, measurements, and inspection techniques.
