Job Summary: The Quality Control Technician – Level 3 plays a critical role in ensuring product compliance with internal and external quality standards within a high-volume lithium-ion battery manufacturing environment. This position supports day-to-day quality operations through advanced data analysis, hands-on inspections, and timely issue resolution. Working with minimal supervision, the technician collaborates closely with Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to address defects and drive continuous improvement. Responsibilities also include maintaining detailed quality records, supporting audits, and contributing to compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE) REQUIREMENTS:

  • To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for our employees’ protection, wearing PPE is a possibility and includes equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator. A respirator fit test will be required based on functional area.

EDUCATION:

  • Required: High school diploma, GED, or 2 years of prior experience in functional area
  • Preferred: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., Engineering, Quality, Industrial Technology)

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of related work experience in quality inspection, quality control, or a related manufacturing role
  • Basic understanding of quality systems and processes
  • Proficient in documenting test results, inspection findings, and deviations accurately and thoroughly
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret technical documents such as SOPs, quality standards, and engineering specifications
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis and nonconformance management
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills related to quality data and trends
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork
  • Competent in using standard quality tools, gauges, and measuring equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4+ years of experience in a quality role within a high-volume manufacturing environment (automotive or battery industry preferred)
  • Experience with quality management systems such as ISO 9001 or IATF 16949
  • Working knowledge of regulatory and customer compliance standards (e.g., UL, CE, RoHS)
  • Prior involvement in corrective action planning and containment implementation
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and basic data analysis tools
