Description SUMMARY Conducts routine and non-routine analysis of raw materials, in-process, and finished product, using a variety of testing devices and procedures to maintain product quality based on internal specifications. Requirements ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Conducts tests and inspections of products or processes to evaluate quality or performance; examines products or work to verify conformance to specifications • Performs line testing on can filling operations, including Brix, titratable acidity (TA), pH, CO2, fill volume, and seam checks, and records results per standard procedures • Routinely use measuring tools (such as: caliper gauges, micrometers) • Advise production when inspection or test results do not meet specifications • Generates forms as required to correct or prevent nonconformance; investigates as needed • Records test data and applies to statistical quality control procedures • Enters data into database systems and maintains accurate records for analysis • Recommends revisions and updates for standard operating procedures and work instructions as needed • Performs periodic product or process audits per standard procedures • Supports efforts to minimize defects by identifying and reporting quality issues • Build positive relationships across designated team by effectively collaborating, communicating, and upholding ethical integrity • Works individually and as a team to support quality and efficiency improvements • Maintain a safe and clean workspace according to 5S standards Food Safety Responsible and required to notify management about actual or potential food safety issues; and empowered to act to resolve food safety issues within their scope of work. Has a general understanding of production and quality processes. Strong attention to detail and ability to review and interpret basic data and trends. Must be able to match colors. Demonstrated ability to provide clear and concise communication (verbal and written) in a respectful manner. Computer Skills: The ability to work effectively in a Microsoft Windows environment (Word, Excel, Outlook, and internal software programs), including data entry and basic spreadsheet use. Strong attention to detail and ability to review data for accuracy.
