Description Quality Control Technician – Precast Concrete Structures Join our dynamic team as a Quality Control Technician, where your expertise will play a vital role in ensuring our precast concrete structures meet the highest standards of quality and safety. Key Responsibilities: Perform inspections on product forms to verify compliance with specifications. Conduct pre-pour inspections on all products following company guidelines. Perform post-pour and product acceptance inspections to ensure quality standards are met. File detailed pre- and post-pour inspection reports for record-keeping and review. Mark and layout products for steps, ensuring accurate placement and measurements. Maintain and file production packets with QC markings for traceability. Document corrections made to products daily and report findings to the QC Manager; escalate issues immediately as needed. Perform daily concrete testing, including slump, spread, VSI, air content, and test cylinder preparation. Accurately document daily concrete test results and report any deviations from standards. Skills and Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in quality control or concrete testing preferred. Experience in quality control, inspection, or related field, preferably within precast concrete or construction industries. Knowledge of concrete testing procedures and standards. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Effective communication skills for reporting and documentation. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift moderate weights as required. Requirements Minimum of 2 years' experience in construction required. Prior Quality Control experience in manufacturing required. 2 years' experience in a precast concrete production shop preferred. ACI and NPCA Certifications (or the ability to obtain). Ability to read and interpret shop drawings. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to problem solve. Physical Demands: Ability to safely lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Ability to work in extreme weather, including but not limited to high heat, low temperature, and high sun environments. Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time. Ability to climb and descend stairs. Ability to perform direct keyboard entry operations for regular periods of time. EEO
