About this Opportunity: This position is a high level non-supervisory QC position, combining all the skills of an inspector 2 plus the additional computer and process development skills needed to improve the overall functioning of the quality department. Responsibilities: Supports all inspection processes including but not limited to creating and checking documentation packages such as First Article reports and SPC reports Development and documentation of inspection processes to improve inspection speed and/or accuracy Database programming and development in support of records automation Other process automation Communicate effectively with internal teams, operations staff, and leadership Work with internal and external teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions Requirements Education and Experience This position requires a minimum of 5 years’ previous Inspection experience in a metal fabrication environment, at least 2 of which must have been at the Inspector 2 level (applicable for internal applicants). However, depending on other factors such as education, programming certifications, high score on programming / measuring tools test a candidate with less experience may be considered for hire or promotion. Knowledge / Skills All knowledge and skills required for the Inspector 2 position, plus: Faro Arm, Database, or other inspection software expertise. Solidworks skills including complex 3D part creation
