JOB SUMMARY AND DESCRIPTION

To ensure that the site is adhering to the quality management system (QMS) set out by the Quality management.
Manage databases and ensure all technical information is logged accurately and efficiently.
Assist with environmental swabs, allergen testing, and sample preparation for laboratory analysis.
Prepare and maintain quality management documentation
Ensuring that all outstanding QA tasks are communicated to the Factory Quality Manager
Auditing of food safety and legality documentation.
Scanning of food safety and legality documentation.
Ensuring the food safety and legality documentation is filed.
Completion of relevant documentation such as foreign body, quarantine and non-conformance forms.
Conduction internal investigations raised from customer and internal complaints.
Supporting the production team with metal detector and check weighing systems.
Organoleptic assessments.
Conducting microbiological assessments in the sites on-site laboratory.
Assessing and inputting of the environment microbiological assessments in the sites on-site laboratory.
Assisting in 2nd and 3rd party audits.
Ensure the site traceability systems are maintained to allow both vertical and horizontal reconciliation.
Ensuring company is working to required quality and hygiene standards.
To undertake any other relevant and reasonable duties as and when requested by management.

KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Proficient in MS Office and able to manage technical databases effectively.
A solid understanding of microbiology, quality assurance, and food safety practices.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and within a team.
Flexible and proactive, with excellent organisational skills in a fast-paced environment.
3+ years in the food manufacturing industry (preferred)
Food Safety Level 2 (Level 3 desirable)
HACCP Level 2
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From £12.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
