QUALITY CO-ORDINATOR LYNAS FOODSERVICE

Reporting to: Group Quality Manager
Location: Coleraine
Duration: 12 months however will accept applications for shorter term placements
Hours: Maximum 40 hours per week

JOB DESCRIPTION

Food Safety and Quality are the highest priorities for our company. The aim of the Quality Co-Ordinator is to help manage and coordinate the on-going technical integrity of all processes ensuring compliance to the companies Quality Management System. Must be self-motivated, organised team worker with excellent communication and administrative skills. Must be a tenacious character and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels within our company.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent computer literacy in particular Excel and Word
  • High level of organisational skills, including written and verbal communication, creative problem solving and commitment to company goals
  • Knowledge of food safety principles
  • Working knowledge of food safety auditing with relevant qualifications
  • Research skills
  • Ability to speak to groups and conduct group training
  • Entrepreneurial attitude towards continuous improvements to food safety systems
Responsibilities

Work with the Quality team to develop and maintain the on-site Quality Management System to the current BRC, STS, YUM, SALSA, EHO and DAERA standards over our three sites.

  • Management of customer complaints portal and trending
  • Maintenance and review of raw material supplier approval portal
  • Carry out housekeeping, GHP and glass/hard plastic internal audits through online portal
  • Assist and carry out internal Quality Management Audits.

Assist with the training of employees to new procedures and systems developed for BRC implementations.

  • Participate in preparation and day of 3rd party safety audits
  • Challenge process and continuous improvement programs
  • Micro Prep for External Lab and verifying results
  • Carry out any other duties as requested.
