Newport News, Virginia Location: Onsite (Newport News, VA) Overview Works under the supervision of the Director for Quality. Abstracts clinical findings and other specific information pertaining to RMG practice's on a concurrent and retrospective basis in order to provide the necessary information to evaluate quality of care. Serves as a statistical expert and analyst to support quality reporting and process improvement. Retrieves, compiles, and analyzes clinical data from a variety of sources to promote performance improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with DNV, value-based programs and other regulatory standards. Knowledge of data analysis techniques, including data collection, data aggregation and alternate data display techniques. Assists with projects related to quality, compliance, patient safety and satisfaction as needed. What you will do Demonstrates ability to complete chart reviews, assess, analyze and enters data that meets value based program/regulatory audit criteria. Submit results per regulatory timelines. Completes and provides concurrent data prior to deadlines. Identifies process improvement opportunities related to efficiency, productivity and coordination of activities/services with other departments and personnel. Conducts and leads process improvement projects based on analysis of clinical data. Demonstrates ability to apply standards of practice as they relate to the specialty or patient population. Provides staff/physician education as needed to ensure compliance with value based programs/regulatory guidelines. Maintains current knowledge of value based programs/regulations which impact the organization. Demonstrates proficiency in navigation of the Electronic Health and vendor/payor software programs to analyze and evaluate patient information that reflects processes and patient outcomes. Demonstrates effective communication with team members and collaborates to meet established documentation and quality measure requirements per value based programs/regulatory standards. Reports any variances in a timely manner. Qualifications Education Masters Degree, Healthcare Administration/Data Analytics or Related (Required) Experience Clinical experience (Preferred) Prior experience in a clinical data abstractor or clinical data analyst role (Preferred) Licenses and Certifications Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) - National Association of Healthcare Quality Healthcare Quality Certification Board (Preferred) Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS) - International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (Preferred) To learn more about being a team member with Riverside Health System visit us at https://www.riversideonline.com/careers.
