OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Department Supervisor to lead our team in ensuring compliance with industry standards and maintaining the highest quality of our products.

SUMMARY/GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION/MISSION:

The Quality Control Lab Supervisor is responsible for the daily operation of the QC laboratory which supports testing of raw materials, in-process materials and finished goods on a daily basis. The Lab Supervisor assures that personnel, supplies and procedures are available and meet ISO9001, IATF16949, EHS and Customer requirements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE:

• BS in Science or Engineering.
• Previous experience in managing a lab or prior laboratory experience and demonstrated capability to lead
• Good math and science capabilities. Must have statistical experience.
• Good computer skills as individual will work with Word, Excel, SAP, Paradigm, NWA.
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time when computer work is required.
• Ability to interact with lab personnel
• Must have knowledge of chemicals, safe handling, SDS, Hazard Communication, OSHA / EPA and DEC requirements as they pertain to the chemical laboratory.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimal to none.

  Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
  Expected hours: 40 per week

• Scheduling of daily testing priorities
• Ordering of supplies
• Review and approval of time sheet and vacation requests.
• Assures lab staffing is adequate to meet production requirements
• Assures accurate compilation of Certificates of Analysis for customers
• Maintenance of Paradigm document control software, SAP QM and NWA Quality Analyst software as necessary to keep specs and control limits updated.
• Assures training of technicians in test methods. Maintains training records in Paradigm.
• Works with the Quality Manager, Engineering or R&D on GR&R and other improvement projects
