Fabrics Business unit’s PMC technology unit is developing, manufacturing and selling paper machine clothing for paper, board, tissue and pulp machines world-wide. We are now looking for Quality Development Engineer with analytical mindset to join Quality and Continuous Improvement team in Tampere. You will have a key role in ensuring the quality of our products and manufacturing process. In this role you will be responsible for: Quality measurements in production and statistical monitoring of measurements Quality related guidance and training Process quality follow -up and implementation of corrective actions Reporting quality defects, summaries / monthly reporting to production Reporting production defects, scrap, customer claims and quality costs Development of ERP system’s Quality Management tool (quality variation limits, inspection points) Collaborating with various stakeholders concerning quality or continuous improvement Quality control systems, measuring devices and SAP Quality Management Active involvement in continuous improvement, at a daily basis and projects Requirements You are a positive-minded professional with excellent communication and collaboration skills. You bring a proactive, can-do attitude and work effectively with stakeholders across production and other functions, as well as independently. You are confident in making decisions and taking ownership of your responsibilities. To be successful in this role you will also have: B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in engineering or equivalent Good understanding and experience of quality assurance process, some experience of PMC production and technology is an advantage Knowledge of different measuring technologies Knowledge of Lean philosophy and practical experience of implementation Strong analytical skills to interpret quality measurements and statistical data.
