We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Summer Trainee to join our Platform Applications team. This is an opportunity for you to join a great team and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic DevOps environment, working on cutting-edge technologies and contributing to the development and maintenance of production-grade backend services that handle millions of requests daily.
Our systems are built with a DevOps/SRE mindset, utilizing AWS, CI/CD, self-healing, and elastic infrastructure to ensure scalability and reliability. This role offers a unique chance to work on large-scale backend systems while making a real impact—helping secure digital moments that people experience online every day.
What you’ll be doing
As a summer trainee, you’ll work closely with senior DevOps engineers to work on a meaningful project. Your primary focus will include:
Best practices in automation and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
Advanced security measures and how to implement them in a DevOps environment.
Techniques for building resilient and scalable systems.
Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools.
Effective code versioning and collaboration strategies.
Real-world experience in managing production-grade services.
This is a 3–4 month program starting in May or June 2025, providing hands-on experience in a professional setting while contributing to impactful initiatives.
What we’re looking for

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Basic understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
Familiarity with automation tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, NodeJS, Bash).
Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

Relevant experience through course work or projects in computer science or related fields.
Near completion or completion of a bachelor’s degree is a plus but not required.

SOFT SKILLS:

Curiosity and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Strong communication skills in English and a team-oriented mindset.
Adaptability and eagerness to learn.
Ability to visit our Helsinki or Oulu office regularly for collaboration (1-2 days per week).
