Description Quality Documentation and Testing Technician The successful candidate will desire to play an instrumental role in the development of quality procedures, testing, data entry and data analysis in a large aluminum extrusion plant. This quality professional will work directly with the quality manager, supervisors, technicians and the operators in the Extrusion, Paint, Secondary Operations, and Packing departments to ensure process stability and a robust written communication of quality standards and audit mechanisms. KEY FUNCTIONS: · Create and improve all levels of documentation for a functioning ISO-9001 based quality system in an aluminum extrusion operation and associated downstream operations, · Create, monitor, and improve Process Control Plans, Process FMEAs, and inspection points for product flow, · Develop, apply and maintain quality requirements and standards for development and manufacturing of products, · Promote and execute quality standards, inspection processes, test methodology, testing, quality plans, documents and reports, · Develop, document, and audit practices, program quality, and metrics reporting system as it relates to the manufacturing operation, · Report to management on quality issues, trends and losses as needed, · Participate in internal and external safety, quality, process, and customer audits, · Maintain, and update as necessary, the quality manual and SOPs as they relate to anodizing, · Strive to develop quality assurance through fixture design, poka-yoke, and robust check fixtures where applicable, · Liaise with customer and vendor quality teams to ensure quality at the source, as needed. Requirements REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: · Experience in ISO9001 quality systems (i.e. ISO 9001, Six Sigma), · 5+ years of experience in quality roles, · Working knowledge of prints and product/process specifications, · Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment in a hands-on role on the production floor engaging daily with the operators, · Technical orientation with the ability to analyze complex problems and formulate solutions, · Excellent Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) abilities, · Familiarization with basic statistics, AIAG systems, · Excellent written and verbal communication skills. EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED (Associates Degree of Bachelor’s Degree preferred).
