Description
The primary function of the Electrical Tester is to ensure the integrity and functionality of low voltage electrical assemblies by conducting thorough testing and verification processes. This includes detecting and diagnosing issues, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining high-quality performance of electrical systems. Inspect and electrically test low voltage products produced on all lines, according to inspection work instructions and in accordance with applicable governmental requirements. Confirm proper function per test scripts, identify any product non-conformances, and ensure it meets customer specifications, safety, and quality requirements. Document inspections on the applicable checklist. Perform final and in-process inspections across multiple product lines as appropriate to ensure Quality products to customers. Experience with low voltage assemblies from premium customers for data centers. Program controllers and conduct thorough electrical testing of low voltage assembly products. Verify torqued connections using a torque wrench, per inspection instructions. Conduct electrical and mechanical tests per safety and training requirements and procedures. Perform inspections and audits of mechanical and electrical assemblies. Strong understanding of electrical theory and circuit design. Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Follow applicable test procedures and component literature, including the Universal Voltage Cart. Use Hi-Pot, continuity test, and component-specific testing devices to perform electrical testing. Strong verbal and written communication skills, persuasive skills, and analytical problem-solving skills. Work with individuals and groups to effectively participate within team environment. Knowledge of basic electricity, current flow, and component functionality schematics/wiring diagrams and assembly processes on all lines. (Hi-Pot, Shunt Trip). Experience in applicable UL codes, NEC codes, regional utility codes, customer-specific requirements. Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret manufacturing documents, including front view, MIs, Blow-Thru, Wiring Diagrams, component literature, engineering drawings, and testing procedures. Requires thorough knowledge of basic electricity, current flow and component functionality. High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution Minimum of 1 year of experience performing electrical testing (troubleshooting, circuits, testing electronics, product testing, system diagnosis). Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Two or more years of experience in a Quality or Electrical Tester position in a manufacturing environment. Computer literate.
