In this role you will be responsible for analytically and systematically improving quality in Large Motors and Generators in Helsinki, ensuring customer satisfaction and internal process flow.
Quality Engineer contributes to getting problems solved by working in a diverse team of technical experts in close collaboration with ABB customers globally.

This position reports to Quality Manager

Your responsibilities

  • Leading technical problem solving in cross-functional teams, making root cause analysis, and implementing preventive actions
  • Supporting Supply Chain Management, sales, after sales, R&D and project management on quality related issues and documentation
  • Facilitating continuous improvement on every level of the organization
  • Being involved in supplier, internal and customer audits
  • Participating and leading development projects related to products and processes

Your background

  • A few years of experience in manufacturing or process industry
  • Ability to work well under pressure, and meet deadlines and commitments
  • Excellent organizational and cross-functional communication skills
  • Experience in quality tools and statistical analysis is an advantage (e.g. Six Sigma, LEAN and ISO 9001)
  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills, fluent in Finnish
  • Current work permit valid in European Union
