Job Description:  Quality Engineer works to ensure quality standards of the company support service of the products sold. The position is responsible for formulating processes for improved efficiency and quality levels and ensure quality satisfaction from customers. Responsibilities * Develop and implement quality control guidelines and policies.  * Support both internal and customer initiatives and concerns.  * Improve processes. Promote process improvements throughout the organization across all departments. Deliver process flow charts and make improvement recommendations.  * Plan and coordinate Supplier Quality improvements for over 70 suppliers throughout the Pacific Asia region.  * Customer product defect remediation.  * Work with customers, multiple factory suppliers to determine the root cause. Approve factory Failure Analysis /Root Cause Corrective Action reports and support rewrite if necessary. * Work on product testing& troubleshooting. Troubleshoot passive electronic devices and pcb manufacturing issues. Test product to confirm failures in various technologies in fields of electromechanical timing, synchronization, power, connectivity, and RF antenna. * Deliver 8D Root Cause Corrective Action reports to customers.  * Tracking, analyzing, and documenting.  * Work on RMA process from customers to factories. Analyze and summarize product reliability data. Review product specification documents for accuracy and work with Engineering to improve. * Correspond with Purchasing and Finance teams to approve appropriate credits and debits to customers and factories for returned products. Issue Corrective Action Requests to factories and internal departments. * Track factory quality trends and metrics. Support for international Regulatory compliance and product safety certifications.  * Support Sales by providing data, reports, and completing product qualification reports.  * Work on Project Management for company wide80/20 business optimization. Work closely with expert consultants in leading the entire project. Work and follow through on all actions assigned to management. Facilitate all cross-functional team meetings. Report on results. * Train company employees ISO 9001 certification management - Improve QMS - Develop schedule, documentation, and project plan for audit - Audit all departments, write up findings, follow up on corrective actions – Train company personnel on ISO concepts - Report findings to sr. management.   QUALIFICATIONS    MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.    MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:  * 24 months of experience working with ISO requirements and audits * process development * electronic components industry * pcb and box build assembly * project management experience * working as a trainer/instructor in a technical or science field * international regulatory product compliance * Quality Management System improvements * supplier quality management * process mapping improvements.   SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: May telecommute up to 2 days per week.
