ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven experience in production quality inspection in an engineering manufacturing setting
  • Competent in engineering drawings and use of metrology equipment.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office and MRP systems.
  • Full UK driving licence (some travel to customer sites required).

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. Day to day you’ll be a key link between production and customers, ensuring outstanding customer service by owning and resolving quality concerns effectively and professionally. You’ll support our new product introduction to ensure qualityplans are in place as well as overseeing our internal audit process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Investigate and resolve customer quality issues promptly
  • Manage customer relationships and service emails, ensuring timely and thorough responses.
  • Ensure third-party components meet internal quality standards
  • Support the validation and processing of returns and manage credit notes/stock accordingly.
  • Continuously improve quality checks and processes for efficiency and compliance.
  • Lead the internal audit program, scheduling and ensuring adherence to ISO standards.
  • Maintain quality records including NCRs, scrap reports, audit schedules, and more.
  • Support and line manage the Quality Controller team, including training and competency checks.
  • Provide cover for key roles such as ISIR’s and basic metrology tasks when required.
