Description
The Allegro team is united by a clear purpose—advancing technologies that make the world safer, more efficient, and more sustainable. With over 30 years of experience in semiconductor innovation, we bring that purpose to life across every part of the business—from breakthrough product development and customer success to how we show up for each other and the communities we serve. The Opportunity We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Customer Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the critical link between our customers and our internal manufacturing processes, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance. You will be responsible for designing and maintaining quality assurance protocols, spearheading root cause analysis for customer issues, and managing the end-to-end customer audit process. If you thrive on solving complex problems and are passionate about driving continuous improvement, this is the perfect opportunity for you. What You Will Do Act as the primary driver for resolving external customer issues, ensuring timely awareness and effective containment actions on the production line. Spearhead multidisciplinary 8D teams, guiding them through a systematic problem-solving process to identify root causes and implement robust corrective and preventive actions. Write, review, and update 8D reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and effectiveness of all action items. Analyze complaint data to identify trends and repeat issues, working proactively with internal teams to enhance process controls and prevent recurrence. Manage the full lifecycle of customer audits, from coordinating preparation activities to tracking and ensuring the closure of all audit-related action items. Serve as a key point of contact for customer requests, inquiries, and documentation needs, providing timely and accurate information. Create clear and compelling presentations for external customers to explain root causes and the corrective actions implemented. Design, implement, and maintain robust quality assurance methods for inspecting and evaluating production processes and finished products. Contribute to the Continuous Improvement Program by identifying opportunities for enhancement, accomplishing designated projects, and helping the team achieve its Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Generate and update essential quality documentation, manuals, and reports using our internal systems (ETQ) and support all site-wide quality initiatives. Who You Are You have an Engineering Degree, preferably in Electronics, Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering. You bring at least 2 years of valuable experience in the semiconductor assembly/test industry or a closely related field. You have a strong command of 8D, Root Cause Analysis, and other problem-solving tools. You are highly skilled in data analysis and proficient in Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel and PowerPoint, to identify trends and create insightful reports. You possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal teams at all levels. You excel at planning and organizing, demonstrate strong initiative, and can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You are familiar with key quality Core Tools (FMEA, Control Plan, SPC) and management systems like IATF 16949. Why Allegro?
