JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team. QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field. 2 + years in related field.
  • Proven experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management principles.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Effective project management skills with a track record of successful project execution.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Developing a standardized material review procedure for incoming inventory items.
  • Ability to interpret specifications and drawings for raw materials, required finishes, and finished goods.
  • Review bill of materials for required finished product.
  • Quality review of incoming product including, but not limited to, material, dimension, thickness, coloration.
  • Understand sampling requirements for incoming inspections.
  • Use of various types of inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and gages.
  • Implement, follow, and review work instructions for various assemblies.
  • Inspect finished assemblies to ensure customer quality requirements have been met.
  • Make sure packaging and shipping instructions are followed.
  • Verify required quality documents are complete.
  • Proper storage and retention of required quality documents.
  • Direct interaction with vendors and customers regarding quality issues.
  • Use of corrective action procedures for vendors and internal procedures as necessary.
  • Maintain and schedule calibration for tools used for processing where required.
  • Assist in sorting parts, counting parts, and packaging parts when necessary.
  • Some of the tools and systems used to facilitate this process will be email, production control software, and written and verbal communication.
  • Conduct regular quality audits to ensure adherence to established quality protocols.
  • Manage projects related to quality assurance and control, ensuring timely completion and adherence to specifications.
  • Prepare detailed reports on quality metrics and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Provide training and support to staff on quality systems and best practices.
