As a globally operating logistics service provider with 41,000 employees in over 70 countries, we manage complex supply chains and offer our customers innovative value-added services. In doing so, Rhenus Automotive implements the entire value-added process of automobile manufacturing. This is a unique opportunity for a quality engineer who wants to make a real impact—designing processes, solving complex problems, and setting quality standards from day one. We’re looking for proactive thinkers who can innovate, adapt quickly, and embrace change. The journey will bring challenges and uncertainties, but also the chance to shape the future of a new business branch. If you’re ready to apply your expertise and creativity in a dynamic environment, we want you on our team. What You Bring: Key Responsibilities: Quality Assurance & Control Create, implement, and maintain quality control processes for assembly operations in line with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards. Conduct inspections and audits of assembly line to ensure compliance with specifications and standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001). Monitor and report on key quality metrics, including scrap rates, defect rates, and customer complaints. Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for internal and external quality issues. Lead continuous improvement initiatives using appropriate methodologies. Support new product launches and engineering changes with quality planning (APQP) and validation activities. Documentation & Compliance Maintain quality documentation including control plans, FMEA, PPAP submissions, and inspection reports. Ensure compliance with customer requirements and regulatory standards. Cross-Functional Collaboration Liaise with suppliers and customers to resolve quality concerns and ensure compliance with specifications. Provide training and guidance to assembly personnel on quality standards and best practices. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field). Minimum 3 years of experience in quality engineering within automotive assembly or manufacturing. Proficiency with Quality Management Systems (IATF 16949, ISO 9001). Strong knowledge of Core Quality Tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC. Knowledge of VDA 6.5 for product audits and VDA 6.3 for (internal) process audits. Familiarity in statistical analysis and problem-solving techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Desirable Skills: Certifications: ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma Green Belt or higher. Experience with supplier quality management and audits. Familiarity with automotive assembly processes and equipment. Welcome to Rhenus, where our journey of growth connects with yours.
