Avery Dennison is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead raw material quality initiatives and drive continuous improvement across our manufacturing facility. In this role, you will act as a critical link between operations, procurement, and external vendors to resolve quality concerns and implement preventative actions. Your primary responsibilities will include: Supplier Quality Management: Collaborating with raw material vendors to resolve issues, submitting and following up on supplier claims, and driving improvements to meet business needs. Operational Support: Providing internal production quality support, including risk assessments, product disposition, and troubleshooting related to issue resolution. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Interfacing with laboratory, manufacturing, engineering, sales, and marketing functions to ensure quality standards are met across all business disciplines. Continuous Improvement: Utilizing Avery Dennison’s Enterprise Lean Sigma (ELS) principles to improve quality metrics, such as complaints, losses, and hold, while reducing waste and rework. Compliance and Audits: Providing essential support during customer, supplier, third-party, and regulatory audits to ensure adherence to ISO 9001 and other relevant standards. Training: Delivering quality-focused training and support to production areas to foster a culture of excellence and safety. Qualifications Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field is preferred. Experience: 4–6 years of experience in Quality or a similar field, with a proven track record of handling multiple responsibilities with minimal direction. Technical Skills: Strong statistical background with proficiency in Minitab; knowledge of ISO 9001 and Six Sigma training/certification is highly preferred. Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver effective presentations to various organizational levels. Travel: Ability to travel approximately 10% domestically to support vendor and site requirements. The salary range for this position is $91,350 - $121,800 / year. The hiring [base salary / wage rate] range above represents what Avery Dennison reasonably expects to pay for this position as of the date of this posting. Actual salaries will vary within the range, and in some circumstances may be above or below the range, based on various factors including but not limited to a candidate’s relevant skills, experience, education and training, and location, as well as the job scope and complexity, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel required for the position, which may change depending on the candidate pool.
