Job Description We are looking for a motivated and skilled BIW Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in passenger car development, with strong expertise in addressing and resolving quality issues. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance to ensure BIW components meet customer expectations and industry standards. Key Responsibilities: Analyze, troubleshoot, and fix open quality issues related to passenger car BIW components (body panels, chassis structure, welds, joints, etc.). Review and interpret design drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to identify potential BIW issues. Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and supplier teams to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for BIW quality concerns. Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring quality issues and ensure timely closure of open issues. Support testing and validation activities to ensure resolved issues meet functional and safety requirements. Maintain proper documentation of quality issues, actions taken, and lessons learned. Provide inputs for continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reliability. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Automotive Engineering or equivalent. 3–5 years of experience in BIW engineering of passenger cars with hands-on exposure to quality issue resolution. Strong knowledge of automotive quality standards and processes (PPAP, APQP, FMEA, 8D, etc.). Proven ability to fix open quality issues effectively. Familiarity with CAD tools and technical documentation related to BIW components. Good problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Preferred: Exposure to supplier quality management and manufacturing processes. Key Attributes: Proactive and detail-oriented. Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
