QUALITY ENGINEER

Location: Ely, Cambridgeshire
Hours: 7:30am – 5:00pm Monday- Thursday
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000

Looking for your next challenge in Quality? This is a key role where no two days are the same! This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and loves getting hands on with engineering drawings, inspections and continuous improvement.
We are seeking candidates who have experience in investigating both internal and customer non-conformances, the ability to multi-task in a fast production environment and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.

· The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
· Excellent communication skills
· Experience in investigating internal and customer non-conformances to include root cause analysis and corrective preventative action.
· Experience working under ISO 9001/AS9100 processes.
· Knowledge of managing a ISO9001/AS9100 QMS and process creation would be an advantage however not essential.
· Experience maintaining suppliers
· Auditing experience
· Inspection experience would be an advantage.

· Support the production team with quality feedback and improvements.
· Establish and maintain quality requirements with customers.
· Liaise with customers on resolution and corrective action of quality issues
· Deal with customer returns and reworks
· Create and maintain inspection plans for production
· Produce Quality documents as required to include certificates of conformity, control plans and statistical analysis.
· Develop and review processes with the manufacturing staff.
· Maintain a visible product record system compatible with the quality management system.
