ABOUT THE JOB YOU’RE CONSIDERING

We’re excited to be offering this opportunity for a talented Software Tester to join our rapidly expanding team, working at the forefront of technology.
The Digital Transformation Centre (DTC) delivers application and platform services based on Java and open-source software. It specialises in the transformation of legacy solutions to modern cloud-native architectures.
We deliver solutions using DevOps principles and modern agile ways of working using a range of technologies including Java and its open-source ecosystem, microservices, infrastructure-as-code, NoSQL databases, containerisation, JEE and Oracle, hosted on cloud (AWS/Azure) and on-premise platforms.
Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time. You will be required to travel to our office based in Telford on average 3 days per week.
If you are successfully offered this position, you will go through a series of pre-employment checks, including:

What you’ll do:

  • Checking and assessing requirements, including assessing testability of designs.
  • Creating low-level test scripts and setting up test data in conjunction with external systems and teams.
  • Running tests, collecting and recording results and then retesting to prove that errors identified have been corrected.
  • Keep the wider team including the Product Owner, up to date with the test progress including any risk-based assessments undertaken and raise any issues when relevant.
  • You’ll be surrounded by some amazing people and working in one of the best cultures that you can find.
