Job Description
Australia’s leading broadcast video on demand platform 9Now offers a destination for consumers around Australia to catch up on their favourite programs anywhere, anytime, on the device of their choosing. Nine’s live and local audio content has never been more effective, whether it’s tuning into our live talk radio stations, digitally streaming on your own device, or listening to one of our specialist entertainment and investigative podcasts
We’re looking for a passionate, hands on QA Engineer with a strong track record in test automation. You understand the differences between unit, integration, contract, e2e and UI testing and the specific situations they should be used. You’ve implemented and built test automation suites using various tools and frameworks.
You’ll be joining Nine Streaming at a time of growth and will begin work in a newly formed team focussing on our Video Management System and Tools which are a critical part of how we get our award winning content to our customers on 9Now. This is a unique opportunity to make your mark by leading the implementation of new tools, processes and test automations within the team. Your work will help guarantee that we are shipping code sooner and safer as we continuously deliver value on our path towards the Olympic games and beyond.
Qualifications

Ideally you are a team player, quick to learn new processes/practices in QA Engineering, and curious when it comes to exploring, breaking, and reproducing software issues.

• Demonstrated years commercial experience in API test engineering
• Strong knowledge and experience with test methodologies, QA processes, the software delivery life cycle including test planning, test execution, bug reporting & test sign-off
• Experience in building, maintaining, and scaling automation testing using various frameworks including but not limited to Playwright, Selenium, Nightwatch
• A commitment to quality in your work and that of your team. You’ve helped create high quality software through implementation of automated and manual QA processes
• Experience with Git, Continuous Integration/Deployment, Agile Software Development, especially using Atlassian tools like JIRA and Bitbucket
• A strong understanding of Agile development best practices including Scrum and Lean methodologies.
• Degree in Computer Science/IT, or equivalent practical experience.
