JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Engineer will be responsible for quality processes and procedures throughout the entire value steam. Support provided will include root cause analysis, reviewing quality requirements with customers and suppliers, statistical analysis, compliance to the Quality Management System and other tasks to help achieve the overall goal of enhancing customer satisfaction and continuous improvement. This position requires strong project management, analytics, teamwork, collaboration, and communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Prior experience working in manufacturing/quality environment.
· Familiarity with accreditation (ISO 9001, AS9100, ITAR, NADCAP, or other equivalent)
· Experience with government and defense contracts
· Certified internal or lead auditor.
· Familiarity with reading manufacturing prints and GD&T methods
· Calibration/Metrology Techniques

Responsibilities

· Participate in complaint investigations, failure analysis of returned products, and issues resulting in a stop ship/stop production; document findings and provide reports and analysis.
· Review specifications and reports, prints, etc. to assure that appropriate requirements are specified and to evaluate/confirm quality requirements are identified prior to start of any order.
· Provide quality support to manufacturing in compliance with quality regulations of ISO 9001:2015
· Report to management on quality issues, trends, and scrap events
· Provide direction and guidance to Mfg. and Q.A. Technicians in measurement, analysis, and product disposition.
· Lead the development and maintenance of SPC data collection, analyze capability studies, and conduct gage studies.
· Support Supplier Management Program in reviewing supplier performance and quality.
· Serve as a quality representative on the Materials Review Board (MRB)
· Implement and provide training on quality standards and activities.
· Additional activities as assigned
· Must have a bachelor’s degree
· 3-5 years of relatable work experience
