About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Quality Engineer / Document Controller on a fixed-term contract for 12 months, with an immediate start. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality for our products and services. Your primary responsibilities encompass management of the Matrix document control system, in addition to the implementation and management of systems designed to control and enhance the quality of our deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the internal IMS document control system
  • Reviewing client document management requirements and ensuring compliance in document preparation and transmission
  • Supporting the implementation of the Quality Management System under the guidance of the Quality Manager
  • Reviewing customer requirement documentation for overall project compliance
  • Developing project quality plans and ITPs, and managing the associated inspection and testing programs
  • Managing project quality records, including compilation of project MDRs
  • Developing and maintaining systems to ensure the quality of received goods, services, outsourced processes and sub-contracted operations
  • Compiling and monitoring supplier quality metrics
  • Assessing potential new suppliers and analysing their capabilities, including conducting supplier audits as required
  • Auditing internal processes and systems, reporting findings and implementing corrective actions


About You

To contribute to our continued growth and success, we are seeking someone who ideally has:

  • Tertiary education in a relevant discipline
  • Strong quality systems knowledge, with excellent communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office packages
  • Previous experience in the engineering, manufacturing or construction industry
  • Previous experience in a Document Control or Quality role

The following would be highly advantageous, though not essential:

  • Experience with SharePoint and Microsoft Access
  • Experience with composite and/or polymer manufacturing
  • Formal auditor training
