Description
The Senior Quality Engineer is responsible for carefully monitoring the overall quality of manufactured products. They rigorously test processes and enforce uncompromising quality standards. The engineer is also responsible for creating detailed documentation, designing strict quality tests, and setting clear criteria for test results. Quality Engineers maintain high-quality standards and decisively address any issues that arise. They work alongside a team of professionals to ensure that final products consistently meet and exceed customer expectations while optimizing the manufacturing process to be both efficient and cost-effective. In this role you will: Develop and implement quality standards and control systems Monitor and analyze quality performance across materials, equipment, and processes Conduct inspections and testing to ensure compliance with specifications Collaborate with operations and suppliers to improve controls and ensure material quality Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions to resolve production issues Review codes, specifications, and processes for continuous improvement Interpret customer feedback to identify product flaws and drive enhancements Ensure employee training and safety standards are upheld in manufacturing Stay current with legal regulations and ensure product compliance Prepare quality reports and analyze internal/external standards Promote customer satisfaction and brand loyalty through consistent product quality Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Two (2) years of work experience in manufacturing and/or quality environment. Relocation assistance will be provided for candidates that reside outside a 50-mile radius of Waukesha, WI. Bachelor's degree in engineering field from an accredited institution 3-5 years of Quality or Manufacturing experience. Understanding of problem-solving methodologies used in determining root cause and formulating corrective action(s) - i.e. thought maps, 8D, root cause analysis, Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis, control charts, Pareto charts, A3s, etc Lean Six Sigma Black or Green Belt. Experienced in electrical testing, troubleshooting, and interpreting schematics for control, protection, and instrumentation systems Strong understanding of electrical equipment at both component and system levels Knowledgeable in Electrical Safe Work practices, including NFPA 70E compliance Proven ability to support ETO manufacturing and resolve design/build issues in collaboration with engineering and operations teams Skilled in project management and capable of working independently within team environments
