As we scale our engineering organization, we are seeking a Quality Engineer to strengthen our quality systems and support high-compliance program execution.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Quality Engineer is responsible for product and process quality across the development lifecycle. This role ensures compliance with industry standards (such as AS9100, MIL-STD, and IPC), supports internal process improvement, manages supplier quality, and partners with engineering and operations to resolve quality issues and sustain long-term product performance.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a quality role within a manufacturing or electronics environment.
  • Experience with AS9100, ISO 9001, IPC, or other aerospace/defense standards.
  • Working knowledge of quality tools such as FMEA, PPAP, SPC, and control plans.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with ruggedized electronics or aerospace/defense programs.
  • Familiarity with reliability and environmental testing practices.
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and ERP platforms.
Responsibilities
  • Lead quality assurance activities from design through production release.
  • Apply AS9100, ISO 9001, IPC-A-610/620, MIL-STD-810, and other applicable standards.
  • Support Design Verification Testing (DVT) and documentation.
  • Assist in internal and external audits, including AS9100 surveillance and customer audits.
  • Develop and improve standard operating procedures, quality documentation, and test plans.
  • Monitor quality metrics and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Perform root cause analysis using tools like 8D, fishbone, and 5-Whys.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and procurement to define inspection requirements and conduct supplier audits.
  • Support Manufacturing Engineering on production process qualification and sustaining efforts.
  • Analyze returned products and customer complaints; support field issue resolution.
