Our expert solutions span the entire asset lifecycle—from early project planning and design review through to operational support and end-of-life management.   The Opportunity We are seeking a Quality Engineer (Electrical) to support quality assurance and issue resolution activities across electrical equipment, manufacturing, and supply chain environments. This role is ideally suited to an engineer with hands-on experience in transformers, inverters, and electrical systems, who enjoys working collaboratively across suppliers, manufacturing facilities, and project teams to ensure compliance, reliability, and product readiness. You will play a key role throughout the full equipment lifecycle, including design, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, handover, service, and warranty phases, contributing to safer, higher-quality outcomes on complex industrial and energy projects.     Key Responsibilities   Quality Leadership & Issue Resolution Lead investigations into quality issues across design, specification, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and field operations Drive robust root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and timely issue closure Engage proactively with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and client stakeholders to resolve quality concerns   Manufacturing & Supply Chain Quality Support incoming and in-process inspections of electrical equipment and components Work closely with suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure compliance with specifications, standards, and quality plans Assist in developing and implementing consistent quality processes, controls, and reporting systems   Electrical Equipment Focus Provide quality engineering support for: Transformers Inverters Switchgear, converters, control panels, and associated electrical components Review inspection, testing, and Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) documentation   Testing, Validation & Readiness Support testing and validation activities including functional testing, electrical checks, wiring verification, and commissioning Ensure equipment meets safety, performance, and reliability requirements prior to shipment or handover   Documentation & Data Analysis Maintain quality records including inspection reports, non-conformances, test data, deviation logs, and lessons learned Analyse quality data (NCRs, CAPAs, supplier issues) to identify trends and reduce recurrence Support quality-based risk assessments and readiness decisions     About You Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline 1–5+ years’ experience in quality engineering, manufacturing quality, supplier quality, or operational environments Strong technical background in transformers, inverters, and electrical systems Experience working with suppliers, manufacturers, and complex supply chains Familiarity with quality systems, inspections, audits, and change management Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and sound judgement Confident communicator with excellent reporting and documentation capabilities Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary and multicultural teams   Desirable Experience Quality engineering experience within energy, renewables, or heavy electrical equipment Supplier quality management and factory surveillance Understanding of product lifecycle quality controls and risk management Exposure to large-scale energy or infrastructure projects   How We Care We offer a competitive salary and an opportunity to advance your career in a leading global organisation, as well as: Fantastic training and professional development opportunities Discounted Health & Wellbeing Platform Free access to our Employee Assistance Program supported by Lifeworks Discounted private health insurance with Bupa Access to Cliqit, our employee retail discount portal Superannuation salary sacrifice options   A Rewarding Career This role offers more than just building a résumé—it’s an opportunity to leave your mark.
