Job Summary The Quality Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance and control processes to ensure products and services meet or exceed company and industry standards. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues, drive continuous improvement, and ensure regulatory compliance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and standards. Perform regular inspections and audits of products, processes, and suppliers to verify conformance with specifications. Investigate product defects and customer complaints, conducting root cause analysis to recommend and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs). Utilize statistical analysis techniques, like Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), to monitor performance and identify trends. Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to address quality issues and optimize processes. Maintain accurate quality documentation, including inspection reports and compliance records. Help prepare for and support internal and external quality audits. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing. Some travel will be required. Qualifications Required Skills and Qualifications A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, Quality Engineering Certification or equivalent experience, is required. Relevant experience as a Quality Engineer or in a similar role is also necessary. Key technical skills include familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and relevant standards, proficiency in statistical analysis, and the ability to interpret technical drawings. Important soft skills encompass strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration abilities, along with attention to detail and organizational skills.
