About the Company: Fabricated Products is a leading company in the Sheet Metal industry.
The company is a successful indigenous manufacturing company, supplying high-precision components to a national and multinational customer base. Our expanding manufacturing base in Shannon, Co. Clare currently employs over 150 staff in sheet metal fabrication and precision component production for the automotive and healthcare industries.
This position will report to the Quality Manager.
Job Overview: We are looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products and processes by developing and implementing quality standards, conducting inspections, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Quality Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • To be able to understand and speak English to a high standard in order to liaise with customers.
  • Full driving license an asset

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certification in Quality Engineering (CQE) or a related certification.
  • Experience with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
  • Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement quality assurance standards, processes, and procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Analyse quality data and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to quality standards and processes.
  • Train and mentor team members on quality assurance practices.
  • Participate in the development and review of product specifications and design reviews.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality.
  • Conduct CPK and MSA studies.
  • PFMEA, PPAP and technical writing experience preferred.
