Description

SUMMARY:

  • Strong GD&T Blueprint knowledge
  • Ability to Program CMM and Vision Systems to measure parts with accuracy and precision
  • Knowledge of Inspection Fixture Design Requirements for accurate and repeatable measurements
  • Minitab Data Analysis experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Measurement and Inspection:
  • Program & Use Equipment to measure physical dimensions, geometric tolerances, and surface finish of medical device components (e.g., CMM machines, Vison Systems micrometers, calipers, height gauges, optical measurement devices)
  • First Article Inspection (FAI) – ability to read Blueprint, Program Equipment, and perform FAI
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Use GRR & Minitab to Record, analyze, and report measurement data, proving feedback to the production team for any deviations or non-conformities
  • Calibration and Maintenance of Measuring Instruments:
  • Perform routine calibration and maintenance of all measuring instruments and gauges used in production
  • Training and Support:
  • Provide training to manufacturing and Quality Control personnel on the proper use of measurement instruments and techniques
  • Support the development and implementation of best practices for metrology in the production process

  • Strong ability to read and understand complex Blueprints GD&T
  • Proficient in Programming Equipment for Measuring Parts e.g. CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines), Vision Systems (Keyence/MicroVu) micrometers, and other measurement tools
  • Familiar with Data Analysis Software, ex. Minitab
  • Familiar with Measurement System Analysis - Gauge R & R
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • CMM, Keyence, and/or MicroVu programming experience
  • Minitab experience
  • Experience in Medical Device (ISO 13485) regulated Industry

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience preferred
