Description

An opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer to join our team manufacturing electric surface heaters for all types of industry. Based in Saffron Walden, Essex this role will report into the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

ROLE PROFILE

We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our growing team. Working alongside the Production Manager and Final Inspection teams you will provide support to the wider company, ensuring our products meet the high standards our customers have come to expect.
To be successful in this role you will be a technically capable quality engineer with an understanding of quality tools and techniques. You will have demonstrated delivery of significant quality improvements in similar positions.

MAIN OBJECTIVES OF THE ROLE

By providing day-to-day support to all teams alongside long-term continual improvements, you will ensure that the company continues to meet our customer requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Management of the ISO9001:2015 Quality System.
· To support the operational side of quality inspection and testing alongside the Production Manager.
· To investigate internal non-conformances and implement appropriate preventative actions to prevent reoccurrence.
· Manage the customer complaints system, directly engaging with customers.
· Work closely with the Procurement Manager to manage incoming raw material / component non-conformances ensuring minimal impact on production.
· Manage the internal scrap system, investigate causes and implement suitable measures to prevent reoccurrence.
· Update and simplify manufacturing documentation and procedures, ensure existing documentation allows for manufacturing reproducibility and consistency.
· To manage the business operations register and liaise with the stakeholders so that the required tasks are completed in a timely manner.
