deciBel Research has an immediate opening for a Quality Engineer in Huntsville, AL. Position Description: deciBel Research has an immediate opening for a Quality Engineer (QE) providing critical support to the Maneuver Short Range Air Defense Increment 4 (M-SHORAD Inc. 4) and SGT STOUT programs within the SHIELD Project Office. This team member will provide on-site QE technical guidance to the SHIELD Quality and Reliability Engineering Directorate utilizing their skills in the development, manufacturing, and/or sustainment of weapons systems. Education Requirements: Bachelor degree in an engineering field and six years of experience. A Master's degree may substitute for two years' experience. Experience Requirements: Leading or participating in quality management systems and assessments, technical reviews, supply chain management, and production line validation Inputs to technical data package development, and environmental stress screening Development or feedback on statements of work requirements and acceptance test plans Participating in first article testing, factory acceptance testing, inspection and test equipment validation Experience with continuous improvement techniques and managing nonconforming material Root cause and failure analyses, corrective actions, defect tracking and trend analysis Critical characteristics management, statistical process control, and QE materiel release statements Special Skills Desired: Experience with product lifecycle development Experience working in an HWIL lab settings Leadership skills in working with staff and executing projects Applicant selected must have an active Secret security clearance. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
