Description
--- Identifies and resolves complex exceptions to work assignments. Read and interpret technical drawings, procedures, and protocols Participates in Customer Complaints investigation for areas under their control. Deals with suppliers, other engineering disciplines within and outside of the Site and customers should the need arise. Reduces and controls Manufacturing process defects (scrap, nonconforming material, customer complaints) by leading efforts focused on identifying the primary root causes and implementing corrective and preventative actions. Perform troubleshooting on new and existing products/process problems as related to design, material, or processes Collects and analyzes process defect data for product/process improvement efforts (e.g. scrap, nonconforming product, customer complaints) by systematically gathering quality metric data and performing the appropriate analysis method(s) to enhance sustaining product design. Influences cross-functional plans, guides overall project strategy, knows when to solicit feedback, and facilitate project decisions Collaborate cross-functionally to align design, manufacturing, and quality requirements. Provide task direction, coaching, and mentorship for technician team members. Supports a culture of continuous improvement by advancing improvements to existing processes and controls. Evaluates in conjunction with EHS new equipment/processes/chemicals for environmental impact/effect to eliminate or lessen such impacts/effects. May participate directly in a new product/technology transfer to ensure compliance to all internal and regulatory requirements. Uses knowledge of Six Sigma, Statistical Analysis and Lean principles to investigate and solve problems and improve quality. Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Engineering Minimum of 3 years of related experience Knowledge of basic Quality Systems and good documentation practices Experience in medical device or highly regulated manufacturing environment Strong engineering fundamentals and track record of sound technical judgment Demonstrated ability to execute and follow through on project responsibilities Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred Self-driven, with a creative approach to solving complex engineering problems. Team-oriented mindset that thrives in a collaborative environment. Good organizational, communication and collaboration skills.
