POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a hands-on Quality Engineer to join our team in ensuring the highest standards of product quality for our metal-based medical furniture. This role focuses on the development and oversight of quality systems related to metal fabrication, assembly, and final inspection, ensuring compliance with internal standards.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality or engineering, preferably within manufacturing.
· Experience in developing and implementing quality systems.
· Strong understanding of quality management principles and methodologies.
· Proficiency with quality management tools and software.

Responsibilities

· Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems for metal components and assembled medical furniture products.
· Collaborate with Value Stream Team to define and maintain critical-to-quality features and ensure design for manufacturability.
· Create and update control plans, inspection procedures, and work instructions to support robust manufacturing and assembly processes.
· Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections, including first article inspection, using standard measurement tools and methods.
· Support problem solving activities using tools such as 8D, 5-Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, etc.
· Oversee and manage non-conforming product investigations and documentation.
· Lead internal PPAP and supplier PPAP along with engineering changes.
· Provide support and training to operators and inspectors on inspection techniques and quality expectations.
· Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve incoming material quality.
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
