Description
The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring consistent application of quality techniques, providing statistical information for quality improvement, and investigating, analyzing, and resolving quality problems.   Key Responsibilities * Identify and record problems relating to the product lines, initiate actions to prevent the recurrence of any nonconformities relating to products and processes. * Assist in the evaluation and qualification of new product designs and new supplier materials via a new product development process.  * Monitor and support site quality objectives by maintaining metrics, and report these on a monthly basis.  * Lead performance improvement projects to increase facility capability to consistently meet Internal and customer requirements.  * Participate in documentation review, approval, revision, or creation as necessary to ensure processes are properly documented.  * Participate in the creation of First Article Inspection (FAI) of new product designs to ensure all requirements are met.  * Investigate and resolve customer complaints, striving to achieve customer satisfaction and prevent recurring issues.    Skills, knowledge & expertise * Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment with a Quality Emphasis.  Electrical Engineering is preferred.    * ASQ and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is preferred. * Experience working in a manufacturing factory certified to AS9100, or ISO 9001. * Experience with various quality system improvement tools, including 8D, Lean Six Sigma, 5 Whys, Pareto Analysis, FMEA, Control Plans, Kaizen, CPK, Fishbone, etc.  * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Work well in a high-volume production environment with minimal supervision.  * Project management experience is preferred. * Experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and ERP/MRP systems. * Must be able to read and understand blueprints / CAD Drawings and utilize equipment such as calipers, calculators, computers, and comply with safety protocols in chemical and electronics laboratories.   Benefits: * Competitive salary and benefits package * Opportunities for professional development and growth * A dynamic and collaborative work environment focused on innovation and continuous improvement. * Flexible PTO * Paid holidays * Prescription Drug Plans * Retirement Savings Plan (401k): * Basic Life Insurance * Onsite Physician * Employee Referral Program   Join our team and play a pivotal role in transforming our manufacturing processes to achieve greater efficiency and excellence.   We are committed to providing a competitive and fair total compensation package for all employees.   One element in our total compensation package is base pay.
