ABOUT THE COMPANY:

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Assist with the planning and running of the ISO 9001 and API Q1 internal audit program.
  • Contribute to the continual improvement of the QMS and training of employees on the requirements of the QMS. Follow the management of change procedure for any QMS updates.
  • Raise NCs when quality issues are identified and monitor open NCs requiring action to restore product conformity. Liaise with the relevant departments to ensure correction is completed and verified.
  • Assist with auditing and approving suppliers for the Mellish AVL. Liaise with suppliers on any quality issues and work with them to implement corrective actions.
  • Promote quality awareness and customer focus throughout the business. Ensure customers receive a timely and satisfactory response to any quality concerns.
  • Monitor NC KPIs to identify when improvements are required and assist with running improvement meetings to guide the teams on quality matters.
  • Raise concessions and deviation requests when appropriate.
  • Work with the Quality Manager and Managing Director to set Quality Objectives and plan to achieve these.
  • Assist the Quality Manager with running external audits, whether these are from customers or external bodies such as API or BSI
  • Ensure all records of quality activities required by the QMS are maintained.
  • You may be required from time to time to visit customers or suppliers for audits or if they have any quality concerns that can’t be resolved remotely
Responsibilities

The role is to assist and support the Quality Manager aiding another pair of eyes and hands to make sure we are in compliance every second of the day. It is a critical role that you will play within the quality team and will be interacting with most departments on a daily basis promoting good quality, right first time, problem solving - ‘how can this never happen again’ mentality. Our accreditation’s and type of customers have high demands and expectations so we are looking for an alert individual with a sense of urgency, customer focused, good social skills, eye for detail, has experience with problem solving techniques and quality minded.
You will be part of the Quality Team which comprises of Certification Engineers, Quality Inspectors and Quality Manager.
