Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer (Mid-Level or Senior) to join our Fabrication Quality team in Mesa, AZ.
This position will support multiple Boeing programs and work cross functionally across BDS divisions, programs/sites. Ideal candidate should have data/analytics and quality process understanding to be able to communicate quality requirements to the stakeholders. This position will require a background in Quality, ability to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders and is required to have proficiency working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities, with the ability to meet deadlines.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
  • More than 3 years of experience performing analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of products, operations and processes to Quality Management System requirements, applicable company procedures, contract requirements and/or government regulations
  • More than 3 years of experience with data analysis and root cause corrective action (RCCA)
  • Experience presenting and communicating data in Senior Leadership briefings
  • More than 1 year of experience in aerospace or manufacturing

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Level 4: 5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard
  • Experience using Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or similar planning software
  • Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
  • Experience working in a fabrication environment, Electrical, Metals, Composites.
  • Experience partnering with Production Engineering and reviewing manufacturing planning.
