Join Qantas in our brand-new Product Innovation Centre located in Adelaide to help us ensure consumer needs are met by embedding robust testing strategies and automation practices that uphold software reliability, performance, and security. Deliver seamless, high-quality digital experiences that build customer trust and satisfaction. As a Quality Engineer, you’ll play a key role in testing Qantas applications while helping shape and scale our test automation capability. You’ll develop automation scripts and suites, enhance our continuous integration (CI) systems, and continuously improve our testing tools and overall approach. Working within our product operating model, you’ll collaborate closely with the team to design automated test cases and troubleshoot issues as they arise. You’ll have: Experience in enterprise QA or Quality Engineering roles, with exposure to testing both Mobile and Web sharing a common service. Hands‑on experience testing front‑end applications built with JavaScript, React, SSR, and micro‑frontend architectures Similar experience with testing native Android and iOS Mobile apps Proficiency in automation frameworks such as Playwright or Cypress for web and Appium or Xcuitest and Espresso for Mobile Apps Experience working with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions) and version control using Git Understanding of cloud environments, ideally AWS Strong skills in test strategy, functional testing, and quality risk assessment Ability to collaborate closely with developers, designers, and product teams to shape high‑quality outcomes Experience with testing Adobe Experience Manager and related content Experience with scripting languages (JavaScript, TypeScript, Kotlin, Swift or similar) Clear communication and documentation skills, using tools like Jira, Confluence, and Miro Confidence contributing to release readiness discussions and supporting go/no‑go decisions Mobile web testing experience, including responsive layout checks, touch interaction validation, and cross‑browser behaviour on mobile devices (no deep native mobile automation required) A mindset of curiosity, ownership, and continuous improvement, with a passion for clean, reliable, user‑centric software Why Qantas?
