Immediate need for a Quality Assurance Engineer with knowledge in activities related to gauge use and calibration, training, technical writing, and interfacing with internal and external personnel to address quality concerns. This position is just east of Carol Stream, IL and would be a contract role at first transitioning to direct hire for the right person!
The right person would be a motivated technical professional with a quality background and have the ability to be flexible, open minded and have exceptional communication and presentation skills.
BS in Engineering along with 2 years related Quality Experience and familiarity with the requirements of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.

responsibilities:

• Identify, plan, and help develop Quality and Environmental Systems improvements
• Instruct proper execution of tasks related to Quality Management System (QMS and EMS)
• Participate in ISO internal auditing activities
• Ensure the integrity of the calibration and metrology laboratories and the equipment they contain
• Able to use simple math to perform basic calculations
• Interface with various internal and external groups relating to the Quality and Environmental Management System requirements

REQUIREMENTS

• BS in Engineering with Min 2 years related Quality Experience
• Familiarity with the requirements of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards
• Excellent communication and technical writing skills, comfortable with presenting to large groups
• Background within manufacturing / engineering and basic knowledge of machinery and manufacturing equipment
• Top notch communication skills with the ability to build solid relationships
• General knowledge of statistical mathematics
• Ability to develop and provide training to others
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
