Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

An exciting opportunity have arisen for a Quality Engineer to join the Aerospace Procurement Problem Resolution Team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

In this role, you will be, working closely with our domestic and external supply chains to manage and prevent defects and to provide data and insight into the causes of non-quality across our external supply chain.

  • Leading activities to effectively manage non-conformance and protect the supply chain from Quality escapes
  • Leading cross functional teams to ensure that build protection strategies are implemented
  • Provide support in our manufacturing facilities to implement the processes to protect the business against non-conformance
  • Provide coaching and support to the wider procurement organisation by sharing best practise across the organisation on management of non-conformance
  • Coaching and supporting problem-solving activities with the external supply chain
  • Providing data and support to the supplier management teams to monitor and measure the performance and effectiveness of their external supply chain.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve Quality and implementing plans to deliver that improvement

  • Educated to a minimum Apprenticeship level in a technical engineering discipline, coupled with a background of working in an operational Quality role
  • Good problem solving, data analysis and presentation skills
  • Interpersonal savvy, planning and personal organisation skills and the ability to influence others
  • Demonstrable evidence of business acumen; relating to quality, improvement, manufacturing and HSE activities and priorities
  • Knowledge and demonstrable application of Quality and BI tools, i.e., 8D investigation, improvement methodologies
  • Able to coach and mentor others
