Summary of Responsibilities Quality Engineer (1099 Contractor | Potential Contract-to-Hire) Napoleon, OH Stratosphere Quality is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support a short-term engagement within a manufacturing environment in Napoleon, OH. This is an immediate need for an independent 1099 contractor expected to support on-site operations for approximately 1–2 months. There is potential for extension or transition into a longer-term opportunity based on performance and business needs. Responsibilities Provide on-site quality engineering support within a manufacturing setting Assist with process control and production readiness Support root cause analysis and corrective action efforts Participate in launch or production start-up activities Support documentation, validation and reporting Reinforce adherence to quality standards and customer requirements Assist with continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications Experience working in a manufacturing environment Understanding of quality systems and process control methods Familiarity with structured problem-solving tools (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, etc.) Exposure to PPAP, launch support or process validation preferred Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced plant environment Preferred: Engineering degree or equivalent practical experience Experience in automotive or OEM-driven manufacturing environments Six Sigma, CQE or similar certification Engagement Details 1099 Independent Contractor On-site in Napoleon, OH Estimated duration: 1–2 months Potential for extension or contract-to-hire Compensation aligned with experience level Stratosphere Quality supports manufacturers by providing engineering and quality expertise when and where it’s needed most.
