Description General Summary: Quality Engineer assists in auditing, planning, development, implementation, communication, and maintenance of company’s quality management system, policies, documentation, data, and customer specific requirements. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize a diversified workload. Examples of Work: Inspection & 3rd party sample testing of raw materials when required Inspections for first articles, in process inspections and associated reporting Assembling confidential and sensitive information. Development of some PPAP related documents (Process Flow, PFMEA-CA, Control Plans, etc.) Write & or review CofAs, CofCs, FAIs etc. Leading Root Cause Analysis in response to RMAs and SCARS Maintain Quality Procedures/Manual and associated supporting documentation. Develop QA processes as needed with input from the department Assist with enterprise resource planning and implementation. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Minimum Required Qualifications (Education/Certification/Experience): Must be able to pass a background check Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent work experience 2~5 years’ experience preferred Ability to read and interpret component & assembly drawings and engineering specifications Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to be able to perform inspections on product Ability to utilize inspection equipment: CMM, VMM, thread gauges, Mitutoyo digital height scale, calipers, pin gages, profilometer, etc. Ability to use Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Good oral & written communication skills Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management, both internal and external Capacity to work independently from general supervision (must be self-motivated once given a directions & guidance) Strong attention to detail Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs Special Working Conditions/Job Characteristics: High-quality productivity level within a fast-paced environment. Vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Previous knowledge of ERP systems.
