Job Title: Quality Engineer

SUMMARY

The Quality Engineer ensures the correct use of advanced quality planning and engineering to enhance quality, reliability, and acceptance of systems, processes, and products. This position provides a professional level of quality customer service to both internal and external customers and suppliers.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE

• BS in Engineering or other technical discipline required
• Minimum 5 years of quality department experience in a manufacturing environment
• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) preferred
• Automotive industry experience preferred
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 documentation systems and methods

• Monitor the performance of product quality and reliability systems
• Generate and maintain accurate documentation relating to quality, reliability, and process
• Implement prevention/detection systems to eliminate problems that affect quality and reliability
• Prepare and present PPM (parts per million) reports, cost of quality reports, leadership scorecards, and other metrics
• Develop and implement quality programs including tracking, analyzing, reporting, and problem solving
• File and maintain all quality documentation (customer complaints, control plans, quality alerts, weekly logs, etc.)
• Participate in pre-production activities as the quality representative
• Complete supplier quality system audits, issue non-conformance reports, and follow up on corrective actions
• Coordinate the Management Review process and assist in supplier evaluations
• Provide direct support to the Quality Assurance Manager
