JOB TITLE - QUALITY AND BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT ENGINEER

Turbine Repair Technologies Ltd (TRT Ltd) are excited to be looking for a Quality and Business Improvement Engineer to join our Quality Team. We encourage a large range of applicants from a wide range of backgrounds and experience levels.
TRT Ltd is a joint venture between Rolls-Royce Plc and Chromalloy, focused on the repair of gas turbine blades and vanes for aerospace and energy applications. It has specialisms in various coatings required to protect components from extreme heat during operations in addition to some more conventional repair techniques. TRT is beginning to use more advanced technologies in its repair processes such as robotics, adaptive machining and laser deposition.

We are looking for the right person to help us to ensure that we maintain our certifications with regulatory bodies, organise and host internal and external audits and to find and seek resolution to quality issues. Candidates should be expected to work with and support various departments throughout the business to drive quality standards forward.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• Strong and effective communicator.
• High levels of self-motivation
• Fluent IT skills – Particularly Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Powerpoint
• Attention to detail
• Ability to identify and solve problems
• Good people skills

DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• Experience of working in a highly regulated industry with demonstrated quality experience.
• Experience in Aerospace.
• Experience with Gas Turbine Components (Blades and Vanes).
• Trained in 8D methodology.
• Trained Internal Auditor.
• Lead Auditor Trained.
• CQI Accredited.
  This will be an office based role and will require the successful candidate to interact with others throughout the office and factory areas.
  This role will report to the Quality and Business Improvement Lead.

• Raising and conducting quality investigations.
• Internal and External Auditing.
• Preparing for and hosting external audits and closure of any findings.
• FOD, Stamp Management, Training Management.
• Maintaining regulatory documentation (MOE, CAMO, QMS).
• Reviewing latest regulatory and customer quality standards and ensuring compliance.
• Involvement with Safety Management System (SMS) activities.
• Other duties that relate to the delivery of the above.
• Train and mentor junior staff.
• Understand and conform to all Quality requirements within TRT Limited.
• Any other duties that may be required by the Company.
  In addition, the successful candidate will be required to understand and work to TRT guidelines and observe all TRT policies.
